We had a lot of fun creating the floral designs for this colorful Brittland wedding. During her visit out to the flower farm, Natalie mentioned a secret hope that the cat distribution system would send a kitten her way while we were out in the field. Unfortunately we didn't find any strays in need of a home, but we did find all the flowers that made her smile!!
She already had an idea of her color palette - lots of colors, but more on the pastel side. Although we love a solid pastel color scheme, we also LOVE mixing in any and all shades that help balance each other out and pull more depth from the blooms than you might have otherwise noticed. While walking the fields, Natalie fell in love with pretty much everything! So we took our time to curate an updated palette, including more color and lots of creative freedom to use brights, pastels, and pops of darker colors to balance everything out. This is why we encourage our couples to come out for a visit during their wedding growing season!
Bouquets were full of colorful fall wedding flowers, and the groom and groomsmen wore coordinating pocket square style fresh flower boutonnieres. Shades of soft blues for the wedding party attire was chosen to balance the colorful florals, and to tie into the local nautical feel of a waterfront wedding.
Their ceremony was held behind the tented patio at Brittland Estates, looking over the hill that leads down the Chester River. A wooden arch held classic asymmetric style flower arrangements, and simple yet elegant floral bundles welcomed guests the ceremony on the back of the chairs at the entrance to the aisle.
Inside the reception tent, bud vases full of colorful autumn flowers filled the space! Guest tables mixed these with our silver votive rental candles, they graced the sweetheart table for a pop of color, and more were placed around the cake. The cake itself was a work of art, made by Cakes by Abby with our flower farm grown blooms!
