We believe flowers change lives.

Our Why

Flowers should feel alive, not shipped.
A lot of flowers you see today were grown thousands of miles away, bred for travel instead of beauty and scent, and harvested outside of their normal growing rhythm, and designed to last on trucks, not to be held, smelled, and enjoyed.
We believe flowers should be different.
They should smell like summer.
They should dance in the breeze.
They should change with the seasons.
And they should make you feel something the moment you walk into a room.
Wildly Native Flower Farm exists to bring flowers back to life: grown slowly, locally, and with purpose.
How this all started...
After years as an agriculture teacher and environmental educator, I stepped away from the classroom and connected back with the land, trading lessons for seed trays, flourescent lights for sunrise, and theory for dirt under my nails.
What started as a small growing space quickly became something much bigger.
Local folks asked for flowers.
Friends asked for bouquets.
Couples asked for weddings.
Gardeners asked how to grow their own.
Before long, this wasn't just a farm. It was a hub for people who wanted beauty, connection, and a different way to experience flowers.

One afternoon during lunch, my phone rang. It was Rebecca — a former student — asking a question that would change everything:
“Will you do the flowers for my wedding?”
Standing next to me was my daughter Lizzy.
Before I could even process what she had asked — before the panic could fully set in — Lizzy answered for both of us:
"YES."
Inside, I was stressing.
I had grown flowers for wholesale, but wedding design? That felt like a different world. I turned to Lizzy and said, “Girl… what are you thinking?”
Her response was simple and fearless: “We’ve done floriculture competitions. We’ve done flowers for events. Why not?”
And in that moment, something shifted. What felt impossible suddenly felt possible. That single “yes” spoken with immeasurable confidence and zero hesitation became the beginning of the design side of Wildly Native.

More than a
Flower Farm
Today, Wildly Native Flower Farm is a working farm, a design studio, an educational platform, and a gathering place for people who love flowers as much as we do.
We grow thousands of stems each season for:
- Weddings and events
- Local bouquets and subscriptions
- Farmers markets and wholesale
- Workshops and specialty farm experiences
- Gardeners and aspiring flower farmers
But the flowers themselves are only part of the story.
What we really grow is joy, connection, and confidence — whether you’re walking down the aisle, setting a table, or planting your very first seeds.

“We've done more weddings together than I can count at this point and the joy I get when I see her name on our vendor list is unmatched! You are in the BEST hands with Wildly Native and you will not be disappointed. Liza is a must-have for your vendor team!”

Teaching Has Always Been At the Root
Long before Wildly Native became a farm, teaching was at the heart of everything. It’s a passion and a calling.
That passion now lives on through courses, workshops, resources, and The Flower Files podcast — where we help gardeners, florists, and dreamers turn curiosity into skill and skill into possibility.
Because flowers don’t just decorate lives.
They can change them. Literally.
Many of our students have started businesses, grown meaningful side income, or simply created spaces at home that bring daily happiness.
Meet the Team
The flowers may steal the spotlight, but there’s a hardworking crew behind the scenes making the magic happen. From seed trays to stunning centerpieces, this is where the story really grows.

Rooted in Season, Place, and Purpose
We grow with the seasons — not against them.
That means:
- No forcing blooms out of sync with nature
- No one-size-fits-all designs
- No cookie-cutter palettes
- No sacrificing quality for speed
Instead, every stem reflects the weather, the soil, the moment, and the care behind it.
This approach isn’t just more sustainable — it produces flowers that feel richer, more textured, and unmistakably alive.
